Do You Think 140 Characters Are Not Enough To Say -What Are You Doing?

twitblogsToday I tossed a question before my twitter followers “Do you think 140 characters are enough to express your thoughts & tweet about what are you doing or do you want more?”

There is a strong reason why suddenly I am asking this question, because some Sam Sethi has come up with this crazy idea of twitblogs. It’s a mixture of twitter and Blog, where you can not only micro blog your “doings’ but you can also post images, media, or any other embedded object. The service is in Alpha stage, you can use twitblogs with your Twitter credentials, just login to twitblogs with your Twitter user name and password and start using this new crazy service.

In twitblogs you have the options to write a complete blog post or Micro blog your thoughts simultaneously. So when you feel like 140 characters are just not enough to say or show what you really want to say then twitblogs is the perfect twitter companion for you. Give it a try.

Before heading over to Twitblogs let’s have a look at the answers by my fellow twitter user in response to my quarry.

@shankerbakshi I think 140 chars is a good limit. Twitter if for updates, its not a blog. Most cellphones can only accept 160 characters.

@shankerbakshi I think it’s fine keeps you focused
@mikemahony (Mike Mahony) says:
@shankerbakshi Most of the time 140 is enough, but sometimes more is good.
@romasha (Romasha) says:
@shankerbakshi Twiter works coz you can speak your mind & put your point across in 140 chars flat No formal emails No blog posts. Perfect!
@Neil_Duckett (Neil_Duckett) says:
@shankerbakshi yes, that’s the point, short and direct messages, more characters turns in to a blog post
@lunartick (lunartick) says:
@shankerbakshi Yes, twitter is a MICRO-BLOGGING service after all!! Don’t see the need 4 extending the limit.
@lunartick (lunartick) says:
@shankerbakshi Twitter is a MICRO-BLOGGING service after all, so the character limit is understandable. Don’t really see the need 4 ext …
@richiem (richiem) says:
@shankerbakshi I think 140 words are enough. It’s like sending text messages on my phone.
@carmennc (carmennc) says:
@shankerbakshi 140 is enough, if more are needed then invite the person(s) to chat
@internetplays (internetplays) says:
@shankerbakshi I think so, also, I think its became standardized for fitting with with other sites statuses i.e Facebook
@SashaKane (SashaKane) says:
@shankerbakshi Think 140 Characters are a challenge but make Tweets sweet and to the point. Need more? Phone. Blog or E-Mail.

  9. All the hype that top bloggers gave Twitter is what really gave Twitter its popularity, but I think there is nothing too good about them. All I like is the mobility of it.
