5 Most Common Mistakes People Makes and Get Banned from Google AdSense
In the morning I was reading this very interesting story by Melvin, he explains how Big Daddy Google banned him for violating Terms of Service of using their most popular advertising program Google AdSense. I know him very well, He is a great guy but some how he did it unintentionally, well he is not the only person who breaches the AdSense Terms of Service, we always overlooked reading terms and conditions in a hurry for signing up to the best money making tool available for bloggers.
Let me produce here few common mistakes which bloggers generally do and get banned by Daddy Google. One should avoid these mistakes in order to protect AdSense account from getting banned by Google.
[1] Never try to click your own AdSense ads
This is actually what Melvin did and got banned. He was clicking his own Ads. Clicking your own ad inventory is a sin (and I mean it). If you are doing this then you are inviting Google to throw you out of their AdSense Program. Also do not ask your office partners, associates or friends to click on them. Don’t even think of offering incentives for clicks, using automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Google is very smart to detect fraudulent clicks
[2] Don’t change the AdSense code
This is the second most common mistake people do. There are enough means of AdSense optimization and customizations available to change the color, background or border to suit your website needs. Do whatever you want to do leaving aside the code, never fiddle within the ad or the search code. They know it when you do it.
[3] AdSense ads should open on the same page
Don’t change the AdSense code in order to get the targeted link or advertisement to open in a new window. It’s a condition that the target ad should be open on the same page.
[4] Do not open separate AdSense Account for each website
One AdSense account can serve multiple websites .You do not need to create separate accounts for each websites you own. One account will do. If you think that you will make use of another account if one account is closed down for violation of TOS then I want to tell you that you are wrong, they will find out all the other accounts you own and ultimately will close down all the accounts. They are smarter then you think.
[5] Do not cloak or mask ad elements
You may alter colors and border to blend or contrast ads as per your site requirements. But if you modify or edit the AdSense code where the URL of targeted link is of the same color as the background then you are inviting trebles, here you are hiding important and relevant components of the ads. Also you cannot hide the phrase “ads by Google”. Do not block the visibility of ads by overlapping images, pop ups, tables etc.
Hope you understand and respect what Google wants from you. You may always inquire for help from Google AdSense Support Staff.

Thats the same reason I stopped to use much my adsense in my blog. But you can actually make a lot with niche sites, not with one site that´s for sure but even if you make 50 per month then just build 50 and get 2500. Of course thats easy said than done, but I have not found another way to make real money with Adsense besides peanuts per site, but still lots of peanut can feed an elephant, lol.

Never click your ads. Google will definitely catch your throat if you do so and you are also not allowed to display your income.

I did not know some of those rules, I guess I am very lucky since I have not dne any of them yet and for sure I will avoid them now that you share this info. I do not use much Adsense in my site but I will with niche sites.
How you can possibly know which site are the clicks earnings coming from if you have one account only? What if I have 100 sites, is there a way to track this?

You should create separate channels for every blog/website you have. This way you can track down the performance of every blog.

Yes, the solution is as suggested by HARSH in comments.
While creating AdSense ad code you must create Channels it will help you analyzing which ad unit is performing well.
An example of channel is like:
shankerbakshi.com 768×120 sidebar
shankerbakshi.com 250×250 post footer
similarly by integrating your google AdSense account with google analytic you can even analyze even which post is earning most and which not.

On the point 4, If I’m not wrong any one can have two account one for Business and One personal use.

hey dude thanks for the mention… actually its the fact that most newbies who get started with adsense are ‘psyched’ to believe that adsense can make them a lot in w/c then after realizing it doesn’t. they get frustrated hence they click their own ads…
Yeah that’s the most common mistake people do. Frustration of not earning much is the main force works behind it.

My site was banned from google search. but i still have adsense running. Webstats was casuing popups .. was that a reason for site ban??

Google allow you to put max 3 adsense on one page, if you not able to do this, try to implement it with different custom channel or perhaps you dont have enough content, check your keywords density.
