Google Lifted Ban from John Chow dot Com

It’s a very long story, to make it short let me tell you that back in December of 2006 John Chow started a very aggressive link exchange campaign, he give a link back for every review of his blog when the text anchor ‘make money online’ was used. John now exchanged over 870 links from various sites as a direct result of this campaign. This has proved to be very fruitful for John and his income grown from $2790.05 in December of 2006 to $12,569.61 in June of 2007.

But big Daddy didn’t like his idea and banned him for indexing in his giant search engine.  Poor John chow, he has to survive in blogging world without Google. You know very well that from where you get maximum traffic to your blog, yes its Google organic search, and imagine how difficult it is to survive in blogosphere without Google’s support. Even when people search for keyword ‘john chow’ someone else blog was appearing at no # 1 place. Kudos to Mr. John chow, he struggle hard this entire tough time and maintained his popularity in blogosphere without the help of Mammoth google.

Couple of hours back he contacted me asked me to check whether his blog is appearing in google for search word “John Chow” and my reaction was ‘YES SIR, you are very much there at # 1”. What a relief, he regains his sanity and dignity from Big Daddy google. Here is short conversation between me and john chow immediately after google lifted ban from his blog.

John Chow: Search for John Chow in Google and tell me what’s #1?

Me: YES SIR – you are very much there at first place and that’s comes under organic results

John Chow: Yes google has lifted my ban

Me: CONGRATULATION SIR

John Chow: Thanks, Now if they would only restore my Page Rank lol, I guess that will be on the next update

Me: have you done something about it or it is their Suo ”MOTO” efforts

John Chow: I went to Matt himself I’ll be doing a blog post about it, we held peace talks

Me: How you feel about it now?

John Chow: It worked out well. Google is happy with it and so am I, One thing I do have to say. If the re-include request comes from Matt Cutts, things happens REALLY FAST!

Me: Yes, everyone respect his knowledge

John Chow: They fear him too! LOL, since he controls how Google does it search, He’s pretty much God in the SEO world

Me: You and matt met on various occasions, so why it took so much time to convince him?

John Chow: I never met him face to face

Me: In India Data centre you appear at #7 for Make Money online Keyword now.

John Chow: I’m on page 2 for North America

Me: how were these long three years without Google?

John Chow: Before Google wouldn’t put me pass the 5th page rank I think I was like page 20 for make money online

Me: It will also save you some money as I notice earlier you were spending on AdWord for paid searches for your own name since you were ban.

John Chow: That’s not me that was someone else

Me: Congratulation again john

John Chow: Thanks

John Chow

  12. Good to learn that finally John finally got his name back on Google SERPs. However, this is only one part of the incomplete story. Not many people would really search ‘John Chow’ to go to John Chow but it would be great if he can rank high on ‘make money’ or ‘make money online’ :)
