Very Recently, there has been a good deal of inquiries by the
American FTC against blogs and website owners
for not revealing their advertising income, or potential
connections with ad networks.

What are your thoughts about how this could potentially effect

Go figure that when a platform becomes as popular as WordPress it would be targeted for attack more frequently. Thank goodness for the community and developers for the quick updates and patches, and the power of internet word of mouth to instruct people of dangers and advise of updates.

I read news about this attack from different blogs. I think this is a warning for wordpress users to upgrade and enhance their platforms for more security and vulnerability. I got my blog setup after this attack so I'm lucky not being attacked with my little blogging site.

Hi Shanker, I have already been hit by the dreaded Red Page with the warning “Reported Attack Site”. Hostgator Security had informed during three days of having my blog NOT online that they had noticed that I had just recently updated my WordPress Version 2.8.4. My only concern (well maybe not only I have several concerns) is that I had updated the Version at least a month before this warning and my blog going down, but from what I could understand from Hg. and GoogleWebmaster Tools it was Malware and hackers, so i would agree that everyone should immediately update your WordPress or someday you will wake up and your blog will be gone!! Thanks JJ
