How to Import facebook Albums to Your WordPress Blog?

Another change after switching my email service client from Mailchimp to Aweber. Previously I was using Flickr Photo Album WordPress plugin by Joe Tan to import my Flickr photo albums to my wordpress blog sidebar under recent images widget, but the fact is we bloggers are more active on social media sites like facebook or twitter then on photo hosting sites like flickrs. So its better to post images on facebook and import facebook albums to our self-hosted WordPress blog.

You can do it neatly with WordPress Plugin called FotoBook. A europian guitarist and vocal artist Aaron Harp has created this wonderful plugin which i am using now to display recent facebook photos on sidebar and importing facebook ablums under photos.

Here is what it dose;

  • Interfaces with Facebook’s API
  • Displays photo albums on a WordPress page
  • Import photos from mulitple Facebook accounts
  • Sidebar widgets for displaying random or recent photos & albums
  • Insert individual photos into posts/pages
  • Easy-to-use AJAX album management panel
  • Frontend validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict

Fotobook is a WordPress plugin that will link to your Facebook account and import all of your photo albums into a page on your WordPress installation. It makes use of Facebook’s API so importing your photos is a breeze.

    This plugin is appropriate for my blog. Better than the one you had before. I like the way the pictures are shown on the blog. I enjoyed viewing your pics, too.

  6. Thanks Mr. Bakshi. The interface works well. Once you install the plugin you go to the settings-fotobook in the admin area and set it up there. The only negative I found is that right now it pulls the main account photos (which you can set to not show) and the fan page.

  8. I guess it’s all up to you, my hack allows you to have as many fan pages as you want used, I couldnt find a hack that allowed that so I had to program my own.

  9. FB should create a cool flash widget for these kind of things you can simple embed in your pages.

  10. Thanks for the tutorial. I’ll start using it on my blog.

    Guess this post is dead, but worth a shot!

    I really like the idea of this plugin and it would be a perfect fit for one of my current projects. But! I need it to fetch the photos from a facebook-page I have.

    Is there anyway to do that? Cause the only way I can get it authorized is thrugh my personal account.
