How to Get Started in Affiliate Marketing-Part I
If you are a Make Money Online Blogger and knows what Internet marketing is then surely you must have heard about those Multi-Millionaire guys who have made big money out of Affiliate Marketing. Yes, that’s true, affiliate marketing is often seen by Internet Marketer or by Make Money Online bloggers as the big opportunity. The reason is simple, you can quickly learn it and it need a little bit of your luck and hard work and you can rake in huge money.
Whats is Affiliate Marketing
Ask your friend Google and Wikipedia and they will tell you about affiliate marketing something like;
Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site.

What is Affiliate Marketing
Okay lets understand it more clearly by an example, after this a man who just regain his lost memory will also understand what affiliate marketing is; 
Lets say you register yourself with an Affiliate Network ( We will tell you about Affiliate Network in later posts in this series) and decided to promote a product which is say a Coffee Maker, you promote it with various means like creating websites, posts on your site, PPC advertising, banners and text ads on social networking sites. Now if someone clicks on those affiliate links a cookie place on that person’s computer and if buys that product then its a sale through your affiliate link and you will get commission as fixed by that merchant. This commission sometime goes up to 30% to 50% of total sales value, so if you are able to sell a stuff of $100 then you can easily earn a good amount of $30 to $50 per sale as your affiliate commission, happy, the only thing you need to know is how to market that product.
So by now you must understand whats affiliate marketing is and if you are still confused then just ask your mom to call your family doctor and ask about your brain [ No Harm]
I know eyeballs of some of you newbies who just learned about affiliate marketing are twinkling, yes, this is the thing you want to do, but hold on my boy, there are few other thing which you must understand about affiliate marketing before jumping into it.
- It’s not that easy as it seems
- It’s not about spamming people with your affiliate links;
Lots of newbies found it as the easy way of making money online, they get them self registered with couple of affiliate networks promote a couple of products and soon find it hard to make any sale and give up.
Actually the product you choose and the community in which you promote your affiliate product are the two very important factor.
secondly it’s not about keep on throwing affiliate links on your friends/subscribers, it would be of some value addition and you need to find your customers and then sell the goods and stuff they want.
