How To Promote Affiliate Offers;

After understanding and getting familiar with Affiliate Marketing and getting ourself registered with couple of Affiliate Networks we learned about the basic price models on which a affiliate get paid for their affiliate efforts. In this part we will learn about the various methods available to promote affiliate products;

Here is the brief list of methods generally use to promote an affiliate products

  • Blog
  • email marketing
  • Niche websites
  • PPC Search Engines advertising
  • Social Networking
  • Forums

Blog: If you are a blogger then you can use your blog as a platform to promote your affiliate products related to your blog niche. For example you are a Technology Blogger who writes about the latest digital technology then you can easily promote some cool digital products by writing posts about those affiliate products on your blog. Lots of bloggers who blog about blogging tips and latest development in web 2.0  often promote products related to web hosting, website templates, and other stuff related to website building or blogging.

email Marketing: by far the best method works for affiliate product promotion, provided if you have a large list of subscribers. You can categories your list on the basis of subscriber’s interest and send them affiliate promotion offers, if they click on affiliate links given in emails and then buys those affiliate products with your affiliate link you will get paid commission. Collecting and establishing a huge subscribe base is a difficult task. affiliates with large email subscribers list base rakes in millions of dollars by simply writing promotional and effective copy to sell affiliate products to their subscribers.

Niche websites: If you are a Tech Blogger or Make Money Online blogger who knows that a particular affiliate network is showing a particular Coffee Maker as the hot selling product then what you will do? you can not write a post about Coffee maker on your tech blog or can not sell this product on your MMO blog. But if you are a smart guy like me :-) what you will do is, create a niche website about Coffee, fill this static website with posts about history of coffee, what sort of coffee available in different countries, how people cultivate coffee, latest techniques added in coffee making and then write in detail about your affiliate product, a Coffee Maker.

The best thing about niche sites are that you need not to update it daily as you do in the case of your blog. You need to devote your time once for creating it, fill it with necessary keywords  and then all you need is traffic to these sites. You have to make a thorough study about competitive keywords and market about your affiliate products.

Here is an example of a Niche static website created with WordPress for selling Coffee Maker;

PPC Search Engines advertising; Now if you decide to go with this method then you need to spend some money creating PPC campaign for your affiliate product to advertise it through paid search on Google, Yahoo or Bing. You bid for certain keywords related to your affiliate products and it appears in sponsored link area when someone searches for information with those keywords, if they click on your PPC ad you will get paid.

Social Networking: affiliates are now using Social Media Sites like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace etc for promoting affiliate products, Facebook ads proven a better source for affiliate to rake in huge affiliate money. You must have notice various affiliates tweeting about products with their affiliate links.

Forum: I never use this method for promoting affiliate products but forums provide you better opportunity to promote affiliate offers. People search and ask in discussion forums about their need of a particular product.

So now we have a better understanding about how to promote affiliate offers using various methods. You can use all or anyone which suits you better.
