Firstly, there should be a place where u will need to put your website files so that that world can see it, so for that you host it with some web hosting company who have big servers where your website will be hosted along with many others.

Luckily I get my hosting for free as my brother runs his own hosting company and has done for a number of years so there is no hreat of him running off in the middle of the night.

But in general for everybody who uses the internet for making business – webshops, affiliate, newsletters etc.
I found out this myself last year when i lost about +2000 hrs of work, because of i bad host, who offered no backup

I also think selecting web hosting is the main concern and in India we can buy unlimited web hosting for as low as 600 Rs per year….. and If I have to recommend anyone I won’t recommend any cheap web hosting because I have already read many reviews about these cheap hosting. and how they run away OR change their plans and business.

It would seem to me that if you are paying to be hosted somewhere, the host should be responsible enough to make backups, even if they only keep them for a few days. What happens in the event they crash and everything is lost? You’re telling me Yahoo can’t restore it and everyone they host would simply be okay with that?

This is interesting, because I decided to go with the big guys, spent the money on it. It was one of the companies which you recommended on your top five. I had two major issues over the last year, and when I called for help I got a very unprofessional expert. This cost me several days of work and disabled site.

in my opinion , its not the biggest of concerns , you can always keep your blog posts backed up. what concerns more is getting banned by google [search ,adsense,adwords]. Google can just make or break your life ….
