This news should not surprise you, Google eara of dominance in open source search will soon be challenge by the biggest social networking site facebook.  No doubt it will create a big hole in Google’s search engine business because its a confront from giant to another.

This is definitely not a good news for google but as a blogger you should also take this into consideration that somehow it will affect your “blogging business” so ask yourself this very important question, an area of concern, that is your blog ready for new facebook search engine?

Since facebook value “Likes” and “tags”  a lot so definitely ”likes” and “tags” will play a big role in their search engine results. All you have to do is to prepare your blog for this new evolution in search engine which will happen in next couple years, so its better to start preparing before its too late to do anything about it.

These are few thing you can do right now to make your blog facebook search engine ready;

  • You like it or not but you need to fix every article and stuff on your site with “facebook thumb” or “Likes” button.
  • Start building a strong targeted community around your blog niche so you receive more “likes” for your articles.

These couple of efforts are enough to position your blog to face the new face of search engine by facebook :-)

    Isn’t Yahoo going away though. It got bought out by Microsoft.

  5. Have already put the Like button since months ago but haven’t really got good response :) oh well, still happy with Google anyway
