Genesis and child themes extend

Genesis runs on parent-child themes concept. A child theme is an extension of a theme framework which is comprised of typical theme elements.    Themes using the Genesis is excellent . Thesis’ Admin Panel is very simple but not sure how is the Admin Panel.
