Facebook Rolling Out New Profile Layout

Your favorite Social Networking website Facebook has rolled out an exciting new design for the profile pages. They have implemented a makeover with re-arrangement of important elements displayed on the Facebook profile page.

Basically this change will add a bunch of new things to user profiles on the network, first change you will find out is short, crisp introduction of yours at the top. Have a look at the screenshot:

Features of New Facebook Profile Page Design

  • Information & Photos - General Information and photos are placed at the top of the Facebook profile, such as where are you from, where you went to school and where you work.
  • Featured Friends - On the left side consists of the list of your featured friends who are important to you. You can create new groups of friends or feature existing friend lists.

  • Improved Photos Browsing – Brand new feature is introduced i.e. “Infinite Scroll” provides you faster and fun way to browse all the photos.
  • Enhanced Friend Pages – Now you can easily find the people you are looking for, just search by name, hometown, school or a number of dimensions.
  • Interests and Activities – The new profile layout gives you newer way to share your interests and activities. You can list the projects you worked on at your job, classes you took in school and much more.

    I like the new Facebook profile layout. Lots of images can be seen on the new profile which looks pretty cool.

  2. yeah, i m Regular user of Face book, and i have applied this new Profile, it good and easy to use…the thing i like in this new version is that it Improved Photos Browsing.

    I hate it. I just find it ugly, bulky and would rather be given a choice of going back to the old style.

    new layout is something similar to orkut and orkut is an old one.
