7 Ways to Improve Your Google AdSense Earning

From Last couple of months I was experimenting with Google AdSense on this blog and few more niche mini sites that I have created. Today In the Morning when I was checking my routine mails there was one very important e-mail update by Google AdSense team in my Inbox. It was about how you can “Improve your AdSense implementation for the holidays”. No Wonder they were quoting the same technique which I discovered by placing different Ad inventories at different locations on my blog/sites. Its NOT very tough to work out what works and what not after experimenting with AdSense for about couple of months. Following is the extract of what I learned from my experience with Google AdSense and Google AdSense Team Recommendations.

How Many Adsense Ads you place on a single page?

You can not display on a single page of your website/blog more than;

  • 3 Standard AdSense for content ad units,
  • 3 link units,
  • 2 AdSense for search boxes

Ways to Optimize AdSense earning

  1. Place wider ads ad units as they perform better because they are easier for users to read and interact with
  2. Placing ads within the page content or article  text, or near the navigational areas of your site, can strongly  increase ad performance, since it gives your users relevant ads alongside the great content that they’re used to.
  3. Use link ad units to monetize the smaller areas on your site.
  4. Place at least one ad unit above the fold where the page users see it without scrolling down.
  5. Place ads on all pages that don’t currently have any, as this increases the chances of monetizing your site’s traffic.
  6. While created ad in your Google AdSense choose choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. This is because it will make your Adsense ad look like it is part of the web pages and ultimately this will result to more clicks.
  7. Place AdSense at the top of the pages, though ad unit on post footer perform better then the one you place just below post title.
