All Marketer Are Liars
I am not saying this, In fact Seth Godin is the guy who think so and have proved it in his book of the same title.
There are discussion and debates on this subject recently, The scene is BAD BAD. Internet marketing is now all about creating hype, grouping and lobbying.
As my friend Joel Comm wrote ” Not all products and services bring value to the customer. I get the opportunity to see many products before they launch. My team evaluates everything we would even remotely consider promoting. Ninety-five percent of the evaluations receive a thumbs-down from my team. That means we won’t touch them with a ten-foot pole.”
Thats not god at all. Yes there have been a major shift in the industry last couple of years.
Lots of people buy stuff they don’t actually want and some people after buying products feel they have been duped.
There are always a hope, those guys who makes fake campaigns, false figures, Scams, and show off things will dead soon, and the good thing is that there are good guys who give what they promise.
Give me your opinion on the issue

In my opinion most of the marketers are liars, because they take marketing as a game to make fool
Not all are liars, some tells true stories.
I don’t think ALL marketers are liars. In these days of information overload, you have to have a good product that can cut through all the hype to be successful. Good products and services don’t have to create publicity via lies in order to succeed. The best form of marketing involves simply taking a great product and getting the word out.
That said, sure, liars abound.
Yes You are right, as i write up there that all marketer are not liars but you just need to find the best one around.
Marketing, can be done for any product. Good marketing however needs a strong product to survive. Internet Marketers promote third party products for most part so they select good products first!
Internet gives more options to validate and test claims than it does in the real world so it works and calling all IMs liers is a bit far fetched. That’s just another title grabbing technique
But as i said, its not me saying this, its seth godin who “coined” this title.

as far as all indian marketers are liars except few, all write same thing that are already being published on other major blogs
I guess that all depends onto the person. I guess not all marketers are fake. It’s just that, a wrong doing of the other marketer affects the reputation of some true marketers. It’s just their scheme in order to promote and let the public know that they have this kind of products.. Although some were just exaggerated ads..that make believe that this is really good.. It’s up for the customers to know and check for the quality.
This is absolutely true article, the reason why it was happened is the “business Model”. does any body worry about the bussiness model which they are going to take over for their future growth, ppl only think about money & they doesn’t need to know how it rotates into the business & wht is the security for their money & future growth. there are business which really have good business model, where ppl are pumping out money from that. everything is proven strategy but the problem is, How a person is going to take over the business? Education & knowledge about the business is important, none of the ppl is following it once they get failed the blame will goto the business.
