I don’t know if you have noticed it or not, certain types of posts always fetch great amount of traffic to your blog, doesn’t  matter much what your blog niche is, but it works. I am giving you today top 5 kind of posts that pull maximum traffic from referral sites as well as from organic search.

  4. Solution Posts to The Specific Problem at the Moment

[1] List Posts:

This is the most common form of posts that pull huge traffic, the reason is simple, people prefer to read summary in form of bullet point or in form of a well synchronize list manner. They don’t prefer reading huge text posts that elaborate kind of story, again because they don’t have much time to spent reading all that much is written. Three out of seven popular posts on my site are list posts.

You give information in form of a list which is handy, and provide valuable information to your readers. List post also looks neat and comprehensive.

The second types of post that fetch most traffic for this blog are in form of  tutorial, you come up with technique or process that you share with your readers which ultimately help them to do better or learn a new thing.  These posts should be written in step by step instruction, try to write in plain English. Most of the people who search for a solution on search engines start writing their quarries with the word How to…..(how to do this or how to do that). So look around and think what sort of solution or tutorial you can offer to your readers.

It always works provided you are among first few writing about that breaking news, and if you know how to write about it. Most of us blog on WordPress blogging plate form, which is by far the best blogging software as far as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is concern, so chances are that the moment you would write about a breaking news on your blog,  it will index by search engine immediately and if you are lucky and stuff your posts with the most likely search keyword for that news then chances are that you will fetch a good amount of traffic from search engine of people following that news and its up to you how you can convert those first time visitors of your blog into unique visitors.

For better understanding of these sort of posts lets take an example. let’s say that WordPress come up with an upgrade in version, but it has some bugs which are creating different sort of problems at the moment, like some users are facing problem while writing new post, or some facing problem with image upload or for some users couple of their plugins causing problem as they are not compatible with the newer version. If you know the solution of these sort of problems and you write it well in time, the chances are that you will get a good amount of WordPress users searching for solution of these problem land on your blog.

Contest posts always get most number of comments and visits, Contest posts always have great viral marketing potential. The only problem with contest post is that after the contest is over it become totally irrelevant and of no use. But to get greatest exposure and to bring in new visitors, contest posts always work.

    I’ve been trying some contest posts lately. Problem is I’m bad at marketing it so even if I could get a nice prize, there weren’t many people coming.

    I like Hot To posts, when written by a good author it can be a real problem solver. But as far contests posts, i guess they are short living and expires quickly as they bring only synthetic visits, with a sudden hike.

    I agree with point of Solution Posts to The Specific Problem at the Moment because it is saying heal the wound before it dry which will become a nasur which means that solution to problem will not be applicable.
