If you are a newbie blogger then you would definitely take these thing positively and start making change accordingly. People learn from experience and experience makes a man perfect. When you start your Journey as a blogger you come across many difficulties, you try to learn from every mistake, there are few among you who never bother about these things. This post is an attempt to remind you that you should not show up as a Noob. If you want to prove your authority in a particular niche.
[1] Your blog design is Messy and Chaotic
You place ad banners all over the place, this look odd when you just started a few month back and have very few articles on your blog. You also put you and your pets photograph all over no matter it distract your reader to read your valuable content.
[2] You start arguing with your blog commentator who just made a negative comment on your post
It shows your immaturity, never fight against their view, after all you made your blog for people to comment on it. accept their criticizesum, try to get something positive out of it. But that doesn’t mean I am asking you to listen what ever they says but if they point out any mistake, eat a humble pie. Try to lean from it.
[3] I read on your blog that I just read on a famous Site
You are putting a fish and try to build your aquarium out of some colorful fishes that you just caught from a big ocean. You know what I mean.
[4] You are a stat phobic
You write a post then write about your traffic stats then write a post then write about how much visitors increased from last week then you write a post then check your stats and make a statement on a social media site ( facebook, twitter) how much you are progressing. This shows you are completely new in the game. Don’t get super excited when someone leave a positive comments and don’t get hurt with a negative comment. Don’t spend all day long analyzing your Google analytical stats rather do what you do best.
[5] You have a personal blog and write about almost everything happening in the world
I doubt you are that much talented, try to focus on what you like, the thing you are passionate about. You can’t be an expert of everything you see in this world. This is as simple as that.
You’re right . I’m personally concerned about point [4] as I’m struggling to avoid that.
Blogging is a long term plan i think.
I saying this with my experience, i lost a very good and regular reader of my blog due to this.
You are right most of the bloggers do these things. Your new theme is very nice
Your new theme is very nice. Thanks for your share.
Thanks very Much
What is written is all correct…
I agree with all your points. And the arguing one happened with me once so i know how it feels like.
Sure thing – arguing is one thing that shows personality. If a person has a negative mental attitude he will not make anything online.
Good points. the amount of times I have seen banner ads all over the place because people believe they make money as soon as they have a blog, at least most learn eventually, try try and try again!
will try not to do any of these mistakes
want to become a pro blogger not a noob one
That would actually be very cool. There are a lot of differences between each, and it would give you a great spectrum of what is out there.
Really Genuine points which prove that you are just here for money…I have personally seen many newbies of being over conscious about their Stats…
As face is the index of mind. The look of the blog is shows the experience of that blogger.
Nice post shanker.
thanks that you like it swamy
Great work Shanker!!! Particularly, point 2 and 4 are something every noob blogger should note. Even I used to do the same in my early days of blogging.
nooob bloggers just write about anything and everything , so they dont succeed as nothing in thier blog is targeted
Sourish
Having a professional Web Design really helps. It is the first thing that impresses your readers.I agree with the other points too.
thanks shankar for this awesome post ..i agree with you that we don,t have to fight against anyone,s view
You mean a new blogger is too emotional and have some sort of spirit to do something and that he is too quick to know about the reuslts.
Most of the times newbies are concerned with how their site is looking and they keep on changing the theme….. I can say that coz I was one of them..
yeah this is something they love to do, but it always cost you some money and your valuable time.
write targeted articles and remain focussed . dont just wander around in diff topics just to please yourself … its kinda boring to write about the same thing , still its important for your readers , as they may not like the changed topic
