Don’t Make the Dad Day Dead

Today is Father’s Day- a day dedicated to the appreciation of the family patriarch. Although many disregard this day as being too commercial, it is a great opportunity to appreciate and honour the man who is often taken for granted. Hang Out with your Dad, have a special meal and get him a thoughtful present

If you haven’t bought your father a gift yet, honour the ‘Gadget Geek’ in him with a techie token.

Here are a few last minute Techie gift Ideas

  • Skip the “World Best Dad” coffee mug and get a “World’s Greatest Dad’ laptop skin instead. A variety of customized laptop skins are available in the market. This small , useful and thoughtful gift is sure to earn a lot of appreciation.
  • If your Dad is a Shutterbug, give him the two in one USB pen drive and card reader by Aria. It is quite handy for transferring images and videos from a digital camera. Word documents and presentation files can also be saved on it.
  • With power outages on the rise, a portable AC power charger (such as the Belkin AC Anywhere 200W) makes a useful present. Able to charge a host of electronic devices in the car, its built-in USB port can simultaneously change MP3 players and mobile phones.
  • If your Dad is into Gaming and your budget is high, indulge him with the Xbox 360 Elite Spring Bundle which comes with a massive hardware, an HDMI port, black wireless controller and headset and two games.
  • Other Techie Father’s Day gifts include digital cameras, iPods, iPads and NetBooks
