Get Google+ Notifications on your Desktop

What the Heck?
G+ notifier is a handy application for all the Google+ users. It has a lot many exciting features though as it is new so the new version is also pretty basic but the developers say that they will be updating the application and fill it up with more stuff for the easiness of the people using the Google+
The application sits in system tray showing the total number of unread updates, so you can quickly check what’s new on your Google+ stream. What it takes to show notifications on your desktop is Google + account credentials, once verified, it starts looking for unread Google + notifications.
Download
Download the latest zip file from the downloads page and extract it to a folder (eg. “My DocumentsG+ Notifier”). Run the file DanTup.GPlusNotifier.exe. If you would like G+ Notifier to run at startup, you must (for now) manually create a shortcut to it in your Startup folder.
Alternatively, you can download the source code and build it yourself.
How it Works?
When it finds an unread notification, a bubble pop-up message will show up, showing the total number of items which you haven’t checked out yet. When you will click at the pop up message a notification pane would open showing all the unread notifications. If you want to see the notifications in the web action then double click the icon, this will open up the new tab in your default browser.
G+ Notifier works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Both 32-bit and 64-bit OS are supported.
As there is currently no API for Google+, this application uses the Awesomium Web-Browser Framework. You will be prompted to login to Google+ at startup. The browser window will be hidden but kept alive. G+ Notifier reads the number of notifications from the box in the corner of the page.
