How to Add an Opt-in Form to Facebook Page?

A quick post today about on how you can add Aweber opt-in form to your facebook fan page.  One year back in June 2010, we decided to move from MailChimp’s monkey email business to the best email marketing service in the world AWeber. This proved a good decision so far, as our list is getting bigger and better.  We get  10 to 15 email  subscribers every day.

It is very important that you place your opt-in form at the right space, where people can notice it easily and subscribe. It is also important that you must give your reader a reason to subscribe ( best is a free eBook or WordPress theme).

We are getting subscriptions through six different opt-in form that we have added at different part of this blog, on landing page, and on facebook pages. So placing different opt-in forms at right places plays very important part in building your list.

Installing opt-in form on facebook fan page is pretty simple. You an do it in two ways. First, you can create a form at aweber, copy and paste the code on facebook page with the help of an application called Static FBML.

Secondly, if you don’t want to mess-up with codes, and avoid doing it, then there is a facebook web application from AWeber for your help. You can easily add Opt-in form in your facebook page with the help of this application.

Here is how to do it;

  1. Log in to your facebook page
  2. Then go to AWeber email marketing application page HERE .
  3. look for the link in extreme left “Add to My Page“
  4. Click “Add to My Page“ and select on which facebook page you want to add AWeber email opt-in form
  5. Now go to your facebook page and look for Aweber email marketing application icon and click “Go to App“
  6. Fill in your AWeber ID and Password and select your list and the form which you want to display at facebook ..whoa you are done.
