I told you about EdgeRank last week. If you Missed it, go and check this post “What is EdgeRank And Why Should You Care About It?“. Just to remind you that EdgeRank is facebook algorithm; this is what determines which items are displayed to a Facebook user in his or her News Feed.
EdgeRank is based on three factors – Affinity, Weight and Time.
Based on the above factors, we can optimize EdgeRank. Following can be done to improve EdgeRank
- Post content that attracts interaction and encourage debates.
- Encourage friends and users to ‘like’ your content.
- Use eye catching photos & viral videos as often as possible.
How to Check your EdgeRank
Just like we have so many sites/Extensions/plugins that tells us about the PageRank, the same way there are some tools which can assess your EdgeRank and display it some useful data and suggestions for improve.
As this is still a new concept ( In comparison to PageRank), more resources and tolls needs to be develop.
My personal favorite is one which i am sharing with you today;
Login with your facebook credentials, select the page you want the site to display its Edgerank. and you’re done.
